5 beef gyoza

The Gyoza (Japanese ravioli) is a Chinese food shaped like a turnover. The batter is made of soft wheat flour and the filling can be composed of many different foods. Our recipe contains a mix of ground beef marinated in sweet spices.

In the early 1930s, the two nations maintained a close relationship leading to the Japanese introducing the gyoza in their cuisine. The legend says the Japanese would have learned this recipe from the Chinese during the invasion of Manchuria.

The Japanese ravioli has the shape of a half-moon, with a thiner and lighter paste as the Chinese recipe. Our ravioli are browned (yaki gyoza) so that they are crunchy.
